How do I stop the help screen from popping up when I open the program?

Every time you enter PayWindow, the option is right in front of you.

mine is checked and still comes up all the time

Locate your paywin1.ini file on your computer. Use the Windows Find to locate the file.

In the startup section, that's the sections that starts with:

[Startup]

Look for the line that says the following:

readhelp=1

That's what is saved when you check that box and enter PayWindow and it controls the help file display. If you have that line in your ini file, it's impossible to still get the help file popup every time you start PayWindow.
