Hi-

I'm a PayWin newbie transitioning from QBKS 2006/Standard Payroll and evaluating the program for a five-person small biz in NYC (intending to purchase shortly).

So far so good, but getting stuck in setup trying to get the program to show $1.20 per paycheck for NYS Employee SDI (this is how our CPA instructs us to deduct). Can't seem to set as a percent in Company/SDI Override or in NYS/State II table.

Am I limited to entering the flat amt. before clicking PAY for each transaction?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Suzan

See this message thread for your answer:

You will see it is a voluntary deduction and not a tax and if you have employees with part time jobs, it gets very complicated to try and manage if you elect to take this 60 cents a week from your employees.

Thank you-that was somewhat helpful. I'm not sure how to set up a misc deduction yet so will opt to input $1.20 after clicking Pay and use tab to recalc net check.

Next question, please--where to set up the other NYS SUTA Tax:

NYS Re-employment Service Fund, currently .075% up to $8500?

Thank you.

See this FAQ on where to enter the SUTA rate.

And see the Tutorial titled "How to Setup Additional Deductions" at http://zpay.com/help on how to setup the Miscellaneous deduction for that 60 cents a week.
