Payroll History Reports

I notice that the Payroll History Reports does not show the start date and the end date of the report ( from date - to date ) they are missing from the title report and it is important to have those dates for reference...

Are you referring to the History Report under the Miscellaneous Reports section?

Each and every transaction has the individual transaction date displayed on it.

That report has been in use like that since 1983 and this is the first request for additional dates to be added. Are the dates displayed not sufficient?

I am referring when I print a history report.. the from date and end day does not show..

What I am having problems finding is a summary of a payroll history report. I need to do a report with all totals for each employee for a specific date range( e.g. May 2008 to May 2009). I don't want 52 lines per employee only a summary. Please help.

The only History Report that we have for a date range is the History Report under the Miscellaneous reports.

However, since Payroll is a calendar reporting process, you can only get a range if you never run the end of year tool which deletes all transactions keeping the database small from year to year.

If you have never run the end of year tool, you can use the Custom Reports tool to create a simple list of say the employee names and gross wages for a date range like you were looking for.
