Wrong "Pay Period Date"

My paycheck stubs written on Jan 15th show a "Pay Period Date" of 12-15-2008 to 12-31-2008. The actual dates should be Jan 1-15th.

I've tried going to transaction-edit without sucess. How do I adjust these dates?

You must set the start date and end date of the pay period when printing checks. See the attached image of the settings with instructions.
