W-2 Info

I am new to this software and did not update to the 2009 version before I ran the first payroll, so while reading some of the support questions I saw one that said that W-2's needed to be done before the update. What will happen if I run W-2's now? Can I still do the update even though I already did a payroll this year?

If you've already done a payroll for this year, DO NOT run the end of year tool as it deletes ALL transactions.
