Paul,

I remember a short while back reading one of the questions regarding a garnishment. I cannot locate the question, can you help me?

I have a new garnishment on an employee that is based on a percentage of "Disposable Earnings". I know that in the employee setup, there is an area to enter the garnishmnet information, but there is no way of checking "Net Wages" is there?

So, will I need to run a separate payroll for this one employee or can I enter the hours, click pay, get the net, multiply to get my 25% and then enter the dollar amount for garnishment?

Thank you,
Linda

Yes set up a deduction. The at pay time, click Pay to calculate the taxes then manually calculate the deduction and enter it and press Tab to recalculate the net and save the transaction.

Paul,

Could you program this in? This is becoming a issue that effects more and more people every year.

Not with the way PayWindow is created. This is a graphical set of instructions to handle things like this:

If you need more complex deductions than we support, it is time to move up to the more costly payroll packages. PayWindow is a simple basic payroll system for small and medium companies.
