Dear Paul,

SUI/SUTA is not being calculated. What do I need to do? We have already paid to the state $6357.59, what has been calculated through PayWindow is $65.14. SDI is not correct either, the correct percentage is in the system. Federal is figuring correctly.

Help please.

Linda

This FAQ shows you where to set up your SUTA and SDI rates:

When you said the correct percentage is in the system, where exactly in the system are you referring to? The company override will use figures entered in that setting if the check boxes are selected. If not checked, it is using the figures from the tax tables settings.

Paul,

My 2.4% is there. Do I need to checkmark Maximum on wages and enter an amount. If so, what amount do I need to enter? I have all my YTD payroll entered, am I going to have to renter all the employee wages?

You didn't answer my question: "When you said the correct percentage is in the system, where exactly in the system are you referring to?"

I need to know exactly where you entered it. You will need to call me so I can go over your setting since you asked about a "maximum on wages" as I have a feeling you may have made more errors than I am expecting.

Paul,

Sorry...

When I entered my company info I had checked the override on SUTA and entered 2.4 upon setup.

In the state taxes (under the tools tab) the percentage is also 2.4%, but on the same page, I was wondering if a maximum dollar amount needs to be entered.

I am going to give you a call just as soon as I can. What time do you break from lunch? I am on Pacific time. It is 9:45 am.

Thank you Paul,

Linda
