Hello again,

I have keyed in hours for our employees in 943. Is there a summary edit report that I can print hours and make changes is needed? Not a report that prints 1/2 page for each employee. Just a simple report showing hours keyed for each employee.

Thank you,
Linda

No, you cannot edit any reports.

The key to PayWindow is that you review the pay when you enter the hours and click the Pay button and calculate the totals before saving the record.

That is when you review what you've done before any reports are created. You eliminate errors before saving them.

However if you do make an error and not catch it before saving and printing reports, see the Tutorial titled "How to Make Corrections to Any Transaction" at http://zpay.com/help as you can go back in, fix your mistake and then reprint your reports again.

Paul,

Okay. In custom reports, I noticed hours. Can I create a report each week to show hours on the employees that I have keyed before we actually print the checks? If I can, is there any way of duplicating this report weekly, with current hours keyed?

My boss runs payroll and is used to printing an edit report for hours he has keyed. Old school, if you will, but he is very careful and wants his payroll hours perfect before he continues.

Also another question, I have entered all the YTD totals and they are balanced, my question is this, if I double click on a transaction that I have entered, I notice that my wage entry has disappeared. Is this normal? If an entry is saved, what causes the wage entry to disappear?

Thank you,
Linda

No, the reports pull the data from the Transactions, which means that you've entered the hours, calculated the pay and saved the transactions.

You can go back and edit the transactions before print checks and final reports. You do NOT want to open a transaction unless you want to edit it as you noticed because the opening pulls data from special Time Clock fields for the hours and such so you will have to enter that data again before saving if you inadvertently opened a paid transaction.

For what you want, it's best to print preview the 80 Column report and review everything and when happy, print the pay checks and reports.
