new company

I cannot get out of my 1st company.

Plus I got a warning that I was about to overwrite the data in the files, did I want to continue or stop.

I really need a little help here. I have printed out the new company tutorial by page, but it did not say anything about overwriting the files.

That's because you are attempting to use the same name as the first company for the file. You must use a different filename when creating the new company.

I didn't figure out why I was getting the error, but common sense told me I was definately doing something bad. I quit. Took a deep breath and read your forum. I was able to create another company and I am able to switch back and forth between companies...pretty cool.

On my original company 943, I had 6 employees that were 941. I created a second company for the 941 (6 employees). My question is this: I need to completely delete the 6 employees I created in the 943 company. The 6-941 employees are now in my 941 company. Is it possible to COMPLETELY delete the 6 employees?

As a safety feature, PayWindow does not allow deleting employees during the year. Only the End of Year tool will physically delete the employees marked as Unemployed and deletes *all* payroll transactions for the year.

This way an employer will not come up empty when it is time to print W2 Forms and such for tax reporting.
