Dear Paul,
Our company is seasonal, meaning that 70% of our employees are layed off and then rehired for the season. Is there anyway of making the employees inactive so they don't show up in the wage reports or any other reports?

Yes, you would mark them as Unemployed by "deleting" them (we don't allow deletions, we mark them as unemployed so they get a W2 Form at the end of the year) Then you use the filter in the reports as well as the display grid to hide them. The Filter button at the top of the employee grid hides and if clicked again displays the unemployed workers. The Group By radio buttons select Current (paid today) employees, all active employees, or the complete database.
At the end of the year before printing 1099-MISC forms if you have contract workers, you will need to set them back before printing the forms. Then any that you want actually deleted before a new year starts, make certain that all reports have been printed and make a backup for the end of year and mark all that you want removed as unemployed and run the end of year tool to physically delete the marked employees and delete all payroll transactions for the year.

Paul,
To deactivate or "Unemploy" and employee I what, right click on the employee, click delete? How do I reactivate a deactivated employee?
Thank you,
Linda
