how to change non employee to employee

I have a non employee that got no taxes taken out as was custom labor. we now have hired this person as a full time employee.
I tried to create a new employee and would not allow me.
I am afraid if I change status on employee it will confuse the pre posted wages
please advise.

No you cannot change the status, you must create a new employee.

You cannot use an existing Employee ID, is that you problem? If not, are you using the latest release? There was a release that we had problems with after upgrading the edit tools and that may be your problem. Make sure you are using the current release of PayWindow. (Should say 6.0.15 in the title bar at the top of PayWindow)
