All of my employees have hit their 7,000 mark in the first quarter. On the Qtrly tax totals report for 2nd qtr, it is calculating SUTA taxes and FUTA taxes when there should be no more for the year. Is this a bug?

If there was a bug we'd have at least hundreds of messages on it from our 5,000 plus users.

Did you change the setting from the first quarter to the second quarter in that report's setup Dialog? My guess is that you were printing the 1st Quarter and not the 2nd.

You may not have heard about it yet since Monday will be the last day of the 2nd qtr. I just happened to be spending my weekend working on qtrly taxes.

Yes, I definitely changed the 1 to a 2. I even changed it back to 1, ran the report, then changed it to 2 and ran again. Same results.

In 1st qtr I had payroll of 7,322.30 with 7000.00 subject to taxes (1 employee only).
In 2nd qtr I had payroll of 14,284.00 with 4,477.70 subject to taxes (same employee as above).

After I opened each transaction and hit the pay and close button for every pay period in the qtr, the report went to $0 subject to taxes. I just thought you might want to be aware of this in case anyone else has this issue. If I had 20-30 employees, that would be a lot of transactions to open/close to report correctly. No biggy on my end.

From your description, it appears that you had a new company setup recently, entered the payroll for the current date and then entered the historical "yer to date" info for the first quarter. That would cause what you had by performing the payrolls out of date sequence.

You see by going back to the dates in the first quarter like you did, the info in the second quarter is "invisible" and then once you got to the current state, it can then see the first quarter data.
