Question on Backup

by saving backup to desktop, I can copy the ZIP file to a CD afterwards

but everytime I backup to Drive C, the file is not replaced with the existing one there, now I have numerous ZIP files in Drive C

usually if I backup using a program like QB, the file is replaced with the existing one
what should I do with the ZIP files in Drive C

PayWindow's backup, creates a backup file with the format of company name plus date of backup. (i.e. ZPAY Payroll Systems, Inc.04-06-08.zip) This way you can go back to a database in a backup backup from any time you want to in the past. We use a memory stick and have backups for several years on the dedicated backup stick that we keep in the safe.

Can we delete the back up files in Drive C after backing up to the Zip drive (E)
