I want to print paystubs basically, as I hand write the checks. When I go to "reports" and try to print checks I only get 1 paycheck/stub, the last employee on the list. "All employees" is checked but all I get is the last one. I checked to see that "reverse order" is not enabled on the printer.
This is my first payday with the new program and I have looked through the forums and not found the answer.

Click Payroll then Transactions and click on the top label "Date Paid" to sort the list by date paid. Do you actually have more than one employee paid for the date that PayWindow is set to?

PayWindow is date sensitive and will only print checks for those that are paid on the date you have selected when you started PayWindow.

I wrote 8 checks. So I followed your directions, changed the date to the 4th when I wrote them and got an "Active Employee Payroll Report" 4 pages, 2 emp. records ea. Not what I was expecting but I can work with it.

This FAQ is also very helpful in printing checks:

And you really want to be in the habit of performing the payroll for all employees on the same date unless you like to create additional paper work. What I mean by this is that the IRS does not want to look at a computer screen. You must have a paper trail for any possible audits. This means for each payroll, at a minimum, you need to print the 80 Column report and the Employer Totals report and save then for at least seven years.

Hey Paul,
That thread was what I was following when I did payroll last week, and I only got 1 employee's "paystub", not all 8. I have been using Quickbooks for the last 7-8 years, but only using it for payroll activities. I had finally had enough of their ridiculous payroll update fees and the need for a new program every 2 years. What I did like was the ability to print just a paystub for each employee. I printed 2. One for me and one for the employee giving me the required paper trail. The paystubs were a single sheet for each emp. With Zpay I get 2 paystubs per sheet and have to cut them apart. Not a big deal, just different.
Thanks, Greg

You can do it easier going forward if you are hand writing the checks. In each employee's setup, under the Direct Deposit settings, simply check the selection "Is a Direct Deposit (ACH)?" and then after paying them go into the Report Center and select Check Printing and then Direct Deposit to print just pay stubs.
