Auto Update

hi there...

i had been using 6.08... and tried to upgrade to 6.10....

if i CHANGE the directory to save the download files, in the auto update screen, then the down load is INcomplete and it never auto-runs...

but if i download to the default directory, it downloads properly and auto-runs....

i think there is a bug in the program, at least in 6.08 and earlier...

has this been fixed?.. if not, please consider modifying the program to allow modifying download directories during auto-updates...

DO NOT change the download directory used by the download tool. If you want to use a different download directory, then you will need to download direct from the website and not use the download assistant which guarantees a complete download and keeps retrying to get 100% even when you get a disconnect.

ok.. thanks for the response...

just a suggestion, but you may want to eliminate the option of allowing us to choose a directory... this will eliminate any such problrms...

Thanks, a little research and I found that is an option on the download assistant creation tool.

The only problem is that the Update Checker uses a copy that is installed in the program folder. We cannot install a new release of the Download Assistant while a copy is running. And of course that is a given when it is installing updates. So the only people to benefit from the change is new customers or those that Un-install PayWindow before installing the new release.
