I have an employee that has a court ordered garnishment for child support that exceeds his gross wages therefore the state of Nebraska requires the employeer to deduct a percentage (55% in this persons case) of his NET income per check...twice per month.
Your program allows me to deduct a percentage of the gross but I don't see a way to deduct the percentage from the NET after taxes, etc.

To do a percent of the NET after taxes, setup a deduction. No constant in this case as you will calculate that on the fly. After clicking the Pay button and the taxes are calculated and the net is shown, calculate the 55% that you said was mandated of the NET and enter that figure in the deduction entry. Pressing the TAP key will recalculate the NET. BE SURE you do not press the Pay button again and save the record.

That works. Thanks!
If the employee have other deductions such as cash advance and loan, will there be a difference in the method of calculation?
thanks

Deductions like a 401K plan, some health plans and such are tax exempt and you should sit down with your accountant and this page in our help file for assistance:

Simple Deductions, you do not do anything special except to give it a Deduction Title and use it.
