Our developers have been working on a new version that uses a different method of accessing the database that should make the responsiveness faster than our current release. If you would be interested in being a beta tester, please email me as you fall in that area with a large number of connection when does drag down the response time of TimeClockWindow.

I would also like to shut the program down instead of minimizing. I just installed timeclockwindow on 22 computers in five locations. Only one offfice has seven computers looking at the same database. The other offices have less computers on the network. There is an issue at times finding employees on tcw or the employee shows not clocked in on one computer and clocked in on another. If we close tcw and reopen it, everything is fine.

Just like any Windows program, click on File and select Exit.

I also am having similar issues and will be rolling out the new version next week, but why is there not an option to just have the program close when the user clicks the X? Why does it need to be running minimized all the time? Closing the program and re-opening it seems to solve the lost connection issue so that is why I am wondering why it needs to continue running in the background.

    Thanks

There is option in TimeClockWindow to close the program if you are using the Internet Time Servers for clock in and out security. Watch the Video on updating to see the two ways to exit TimeClockWindow. at this link:

    http://timeclockwindow.com/help/UpdatingTCW/index.html

Also the reason it minimizes to the Tray is the security of not being able to change the time on the computer if not using the Internet time servers.
