NOTE: Before we begin... If the update checker shows that you need both the program and the tax tables, do not download the tax tables. Install the Program update as in many cases it is required for the newest tax tables. And the program update WILL install the latest tax tables.

We do not force update downloads like some software does when you need your CPU for other things. It is up to you when you want to install PayWindow Updates. We suggest that you check at least once a month.

The easiest way is to use the built-in Update Checker. In PayWindow, click on Help and select Updates as shown here:



This will open the Updater in PayWindow. Next click on Check For Updates as shown here:



The Updater will tell you if you need to update the program or the tax tables. If the Update buttons remain grayed out, that would mean that you have the most current release. If the Updater tells you that you need both the program and the tax tables, just click the Program button as the program installer installs both the program and new tax tables.

Any time that you install new tax tables, be sure you update your FUTA, SUTA and SDI rates by following the instructions found here:

If you have a problem with the automatic updater, you can check the version in the program which is at the top of the PayWindow as shown here:



And compare that number with what is shown on the download page at http://zpay.com/download.htm where you see the version number right under the download link like this:



You can also download the Updates with that link as well on the download page. If you have a dial-up connection and often get the "Download Incomplete" message, you would be better off to use the Download Assistant link shown here on the download page:

That download assistant link will download a small program that will keep trying until 100% of the setup package is downloaded and will launch it when done. If you lose connection, by simply restarting the connection, the download assistant will pick up where it left off at making sure you get a good download.

Note: If your office computer is not on-line to the Internet, simply use a home computer, one at the library or any place where a computer you can access that is on-line and install the current program file from our download page. Simply download it to a removable drive like one of those small memory sticks and that it to your office computer and install it right over the existing PayWindow that you have installed.
