View Full Version : IEFRAME.DLL and MSHTML.DLL Errors

We've been seeing a number of IEFRAME.DLL and MSHTML.DLL Errors in the bug reports submitted by our software lately. These are caused by damaged Dynamic Link Library (DLL) files on customer's computers.

Important: Do not download ieframe.dll or mshtml.dll from a "DLL download" website. There are many reasons why downloading a DLL file is a bad idea. If you need a copy of mshtml.dll, it's best to obtain it from its original, legitimate source.

These are generally caused by a virus or a malware program that infected the user's computer. Reinstalling Internet Explorer would fix the DLL problems after you've insured any viruses or malware has been removed.

Ieframe.dll Error Messages
Ieframe.dll errors are fairly varied and really depend on the cause of the problem. A few of the more common ieframe.dll related errors are shown here:

- File Not Found C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\IEFRAME.DLL

Mshtml.dll Error Messages
There are several different ways that mshtml.dll errors can show up on your computer. Here are some of the more common ways that you might see mshtml.dll errors:

- Access violation at address 69A25F1B in module 'ieframe.dll'.
- Mshtml.dll Not Found
- This application failed to start because mshtml.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
