Default Clock In/Out button produced message; "The computer time was changed...."

Recently I'm experiencing the problem that when an employee attempts to Clock In or Out, the following pop screen is displayed

    "The computer clock was changed.
    Enter the Administrator password."

Then after entering the correct password, nothing happens. It just returns to the same screen where we still can not clock in/out.

What is causing this screen to appear? How do I bypass it?

    Thank you!

Most likely, two things, someone changed the time or the computer updated the time (setup in Windows to update automatically) causing the computer clock to differ from the TCW internal clock.

The best thing is to set TCW to use the Internet Time Servers as that way, employees cannot cheat by changing the time and it never has the time change noticed to request an administrator to reset it. See this page in the help file for setup instructions:

Thanks Troy for asking the question and thanks to Paul for answering. I have the same issue but my computer running zpay does not have Internet access. I turned off the Windows feature that allows a computer to sync its time with the Internet time servers (thinking this would cause the error) and I am still receiving it, usually in the mornings. No one has changed the time on the box, as I am currently located next to the terminal in question.

Any help would be much appreciated.

All computers lose time, that's why Windows has the automatic time update feature if it is connected to the Internet. But yours is not so you will have to live with that especially if it is an older computer as they tend to be the worst case scenario when it comes to loosing time. Computers which do a lot of data processing also change time faster as well.

This is why the best case scenario is to use computers with Internet access as they never have this problem.
